Default RAM Help

Hi Everyone,

I know I've asked a lot of questions about my next build but I am down to 1 last question. I have settled on my chip/mobo combo.

Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!

I have read the OCV for this board which is vague at best. I have a few memory companies in mind. Please pick the best or recommend something else for this board.

Newegg.com - Crucial Ballistix 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model BL3KIT25664TR1608 - Desktop Memory

Newegg.com - CORSAIR DOMINATOR 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model TR3X6G1600C8D - Desktop Memory

998681 - 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800 8-8-8-24 Blackline (Triple Kit)

I am leaning towards the Mushkin due to the warranty & support and the Crucial for the price.

Thank you in advance,
DA

The crucial is out of stock, and the others are quite expensive... i would go with one of these:

Newegg.com - CORSAIR XMS3 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model TR3X6G1600C8 G - Desktop Memory
Newegg.com - OCZ Platinum 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Low Voltage Desktop Memory Model OCZ3P1600LV6GK - Desktop Memory
Newegg.com - OCZ XMP Ready Series 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Low Voltage Desktop Memory Model OCZ3X1600LV6GK - Desktop Memory

Here is a great set of 1600 ram cas8:
Newegg.com - OCZ Gold 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Low Voltage Desktop Memory Model OCZ3G1600LV6GK - Desktop Memory

But, based upon the board you are getting you are planning on some serious overclocks most likely water cooled.

May want some faster ram to keep up with your clock speeds:
Newegg.com - G.SKILL Perfect Storm 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2000 (PC3 16000) Desktop Memory Model F3-16000CL8T-6GBPS - Desktop Memory

Most likely you are shooting for 200bclk x 21 for 4.2 so 2000 ram set 200bclk with a x10 multi would be nice.

I like the price of the OCZ XPM ready ram. Is there a catch? Not familiar with this brand but see it on a lot of builds posted here.

No water cooling, I am preparing to buy this beast.
