okay, i was origonally going to get 1GB of OCZ Platnium Revison2. but now i'm hearing that 2GB is better for gaming. so should i get 1Gb now and 1GB later, but i wouldnt be able to run 4 sticks in duel channel right?

You can run 4 stick in dual channel.

well, you pair them up in 2's. Put matching sticks in matching colored ram slots. Dual channel isn't something you have to 'turn on'. It does it automatically if you put the sticks in correct matching pairs.
