Hey all.

Ok I have a q...
What is better?

Radeon X1800XT

or

Geforce 7800GTX

for exemple
ATI Radeon X1800
512MB
PixelPipelines 16
Memory Clock 1.5GHz

or
eVGA Geforce 7800GTX
less 256MB..
but more PixelPipelines 24
less Memory Clock 1300MHz

so which one? Some ppl say that Geforce cannot do HDR and AA...
when ATI Radeon X1800 can.
Which one will be best for gaming? which one stronger

They can both do HDR and they're both awesome. But the X1800XT is better than the 7800GTX. However, the problem comes in when you consider the prices and temperatures. I see that you linked the $569 7800GTX, here's the cheapest reliable one;

The X1800XT IS NOT $100 better than the 7800GTX...

Also, the X1800XT runs A LOT hotter than the 7800GTX. You know how you're supposed to stop overclocking when a card or processor gets too hot? Well, the X1800XT comes "too hot" at stock. It has amazing overclocking potential, but nothing that an average PC user will ever be able to achieve with air cooling.

My vote? I like Nvidia, so 7800GTX. Better drivers, better hardware.

Hmm
well if think.. will I really need much AA? if I can run games at higher resolutions anyway? If both do HDR..

And PixelPipelines 24 is plus or not? if compare to PixelPipelines 16 on Radeon

Come again?

more pipelines means more pixels can get processed per clock cycle, more is better unless the clock cycle difference is large enough to compensate.

I mean I dont know.. maybe Geforce is better or some. But just that ATI is 512MB.... for same price as would cost 256 Geforce.
I mean I probobly can get ATI Radeon X1800 512MB for ~500 now ... and maybe a year later get second card.

And it would be way cheaper then geting two Geforce 512.
