Yeah that's for the spider platform. You need ECC ram as well. The whole thing is very stupid IMO. Even worse than AMD's 4x4 thing

definitely need skulltrail if you want quad sli though... otherwise.. HUGEMUNGOUS bottleneck

I dont get it, this might seem like a really dumb question but whats the difference between a Q6600 running at 3.2ghz and this performance wise? (Other than the fact that the QX9775 can overclock higher.)

The QX9775 is a Yorkfield 45nm. It's faster than the Kentsfield 65nm quads by 10%, and they feature the SSE4 instructions.
