Motherboard: DFI Lanparty SLI-DR

would the:

Western Digital WD2500KS Caviar SE 250GB 7200RPM SATA2/300 16MB Cache - OEM

Yes.

I don't mean to be mean, but just look at the specs for your motherboard. It says that it has SATA2 (SATA3.0) ports, so that should be self-explanatory. Knowing the specs of the hardware that you have is generally a good thing.

Aside from that SATA 2 is usually backwards compatible with SATA 1.

So you could have a SATA 1 motherboard running a SATA 2 drive and vice versa.

Um, are you sure? I know that you can run a SATA150 drive in a SATA3.0 port, but I don't think you can run a SATA3.0 drive in a SATA150 port...

Is this a decent hard drive though? seeing as i was going to get a Segate 250GB 8MB Cache 7200RPM
