You can see here how much a system with a Q9550 can consume power:

It's from tomshardware system builder marathon. They're using a Q9550 with a 4870X2. You can see the GPU and CPU separately, the system is the dark blue bar. Keep in mind though the 4870X2 draws way more power than a regular 4870. And I also notice you're running 3 hard drives which would make a difference too.

So it draws 480watts under load ? I should be fine then.. i'll probably draw 540ish.
