Q9450?

I heard back around November that the Q9450 was coming out in January but it hasn't. Does anyone know for sure when it will be officially hitting the market for the $319 price tag? How much of a performance increase is it from the Q6600? Anyone plan on getting it?

Yeah it will be significantly better for overclockers, but at stock speeds its not that big of an upgrade.

I'm just not liking the 8x multiplier on this thing... I'm thinking that this handicap will pretty much cancel out any benefit of getting the Q9450, because a 3.6GHz Q6600 will probably be pretty darn close to a Q9450 running at 3.2GHz

Is it worth waiting for tthe Q9450 or should I just get the Q6600 now? I mean waiting 2 weeks isnt that long but what if it gets pushed back again -.-

I really don't think theres much of a point to wait. The penryn upgrade isn't really that significant.

I'd still wait, because the Q6600 will probably get another price drop once the Q9450 comes out

id say either get a q6600 or spend the extra and get the q9550.

bang for buck sounds like it will still be the q6600 though.

i'll be getting a q9550 just because this B3 q6600 is junk.

how about when comparing both the q6600 and q9450 at stock speeds? big difference?
