This is an interesting chart, I guess the q6600 would do better as long as you overclock it.

I'd get the q6600 if it was between those two. It's more future proof.

You need to start calling them Wolfdales or Yorkfields, if you are talking about the dual or quad, respectively, because the Penryn is the mobile processor....but I'm getting a Q6600.

Yeah but if the e6850 is just overclockable as the e6750 you can turn that into a monster. It would be best to pick up a dual if you are upgrading to one of the new quads like next year.

Theres no point in getting an e6850, when a quad core cost the same, and the e6750 being an excellent overclocker. Unless you're looking to overclock like mad.
