Question Putting New Parts In Old Pc Case???

Ok so i have a dell dimension desktop only about 3 years old,and i was wondering if i could build a new atx based system system and put the parts in the dell case?

I think the answer is no since Dell cases are proprietary.

Dell seems to build their cases so only their parts will fit in it. Why would you want to use a Dell case anyway when you can get a good on on Newegg for less than $50.

just trying to save money...guess ill just get the case i have on newegg. also is this gcard gonna do me good as far as playing intense games with graphics to the max?........NVIDIA GeForce 8500GT Super 512MB DDR2 PCI-E VCD w/DVI

unless u play wayy old games that ain't gonna max anything.... but for a case i highly recommend a coolermaster elite 330
