Hi
I am a building PC for someone and am getting this graphics card ( Nvidia Geforce 260 GTX Core 216 ) for it but am trying to pick out a suitible PSU for it, and I think I found one, but I need help on a certain spec I am trying to understand. My rig has the Nvidia Geforce 260 GTX and this PSU so I hope that it was a good pick indeed .
Heres the Graphics Card
Newegg.com - EVGA 896-P3-1265-AR GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 896MB 448-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards
Here is the PSU
Newegg.com - Rosewill RP600V2-S-SL 600W ATX12V v2.01 SLI Ready Power Supply - Power Supplies
On the video card it says...
(Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 36 Amp Amps.)
But I am wondering how do I confirm that this PSU gives the needed amount of Amps for sure.
On the PSU specs in the above link, if I am not mistaken, where it states the output as seen here...
Output +3.3@30A,+5V@55A,+12V1@19A,+12V2@19A,-12V@1A,+5V SB@2.5A
Seeing +12V2@19A
Does this mean that I take 19A + 19A = 38 Amps and since that exceeds of the needed 36 Amps at 12 volts stated for the video card, is that good enough?
Thanks
