Default PSU Question

Hey guys, I will be picking up 2 of these within the next week, and am wondering if my folding rig's current 500W PSU can handle the additonal 2 GPU's... I do have another 500W I could mod in there with it... but I'd rather not do that...

Yay or nay?

it says it has 3 rails of 17 amp each, but not sure how that actually works out as 500W/12v = 41...

edit: actually i think what i will do is run 2 on my folding machine, then the other in my moms rig. 500w can handle 2 right?

i know +12v isnt all the PSU is made up of... what I was saying was how can it have 3 17A rails when the +12v line itself shouldnt have any more than 41.

OK so new question... what PSU could handle the 3 cards (9800gt, 2x8800gt)?

I was thinking at or above a tx650

You might need a 750... just as youre running v3 cards full out.

Plus youre going to e molex to 6pin.
