Which Psu For Mobo And Cpu

What sort of PSU do I need for a Asus P5B Deluxe with a Dual Core2 6400.

Do i need a PSU with EPS12V and 24pin?

The P5B deluxe uses the normal P4 instead of EPS.

It has a 24 pin plug but can run with 20.

P5B comes with 24-pin ATX + 2 X 4-pin 12v connectors. check out with manufacturer of PSU before deciding to buy. and far better, download the Motherboard Manual first to see if it can support 20-pin as well.

I am using an Antec Neo 550W. It has 3, 12V rails with dedicated PCI-E power x 2.

It is a modular PSU (unused power cables can be removed). There is some controversy over the voltage fluctuations. I have not had any.

(Testing a 6400 @3.2 w/ P5B-D)

500W with dual 12V rails will do it cleanly (OCZ, Antec, Enermax, Silverstone...)
