ok im planning to build a rig ofr my mom.. e6300 ... might oc to 6400 specs .. 7300gs 2 gb mem cd floppy and i think thats it... what psu .. like 460-500w? i was thinking 500 ot be on the safe side ... and anybody have a good one ot recomend.. they vary in price sooo much.... and i hear alot of diff. opinions.... thanks in adavance... Recommend an Antec True - 440w - $89.95 ... or 550w - $119.95.
They actually put out the amount of power they say, unlike some.
This is a quality PSU and will hold up very well. Some cheap PSUs will go out and take the mobo with it.

I'm running the 400watt version on my Vista rig and its doing a great job. The only thing is the 12v rail is 11.85v consistently.

It's a quiet, heavy duty powersupply.

11.85V is well within the 5% +/- Tolerence Range.

12V X .05 == .60 therefor all values Between 11.40V and 12.60V is/are adequete.
