I just got my Thermaltake tr2 430watt psu, Isnt there a way to turn it on and see if its running with out actually hooking up to your comp ?

You can just plug it in as if it were attached to your computer and turn it on. I should run like normal, except if won't actually be doing anything.

I thought you had to put something in the main 20 pin power plug

You may want to check the manual for your PSU, but I checked mine and it seems to be working fine without anything connected to it.

Why do you want to test it anyway?

allright i thought that it can like fry or something if u dont do the main 20 pin plug thing. I was just wanting to make sure its running.

I've never heard that, but I don't want to tell you something that will fry your PSU. You might want to wait then.

you stick a paper clip in 2hole it should work, i cant rember what 2 holes though, just plug the psu in.
