processes

i have so many processes running, is there any way of reducing this, not my user name processes, but system and stuff, i know there inmortant, but theres sooo many??

How many do you have? I have 25 running with out anything up, and I consider this good for XP, I could get it down to 20 probally. To get rid of it, type msconfig in run and on the start-up tab you can unselect all of it, but there is sound/graphics drivers there.

To check, type in each one into google.

ok so maby im overreacting, i dont have 25, ill gheck in google, if there not worth it should i close them in msconfig?
