Unhappy Problems with New 2TB hard drive

I got a new 2TB Western Digital 3.5 SATA Hard Drive today and popped it in the same as normal. I loaded up the computer and it said installing drives for your hardware and then drivers installed successfully and your hardware is ready. I went into my computer but there is no hard drive there? Im not sure what else I need to do as it always came up no problem before, I have updated windows and restarted but no joy. Can anyone help?

Im running windows 7 64bit and already have a 1TB hard drive in if that makes any difference?
Thanks for any help
