I'm wanting to upgrade my power supply. It's 400 watts, "Powerup" and it was about $22.99.

I don't want to spend over $100. I was thinking of this:

My system has:
3 Harddrives (40, 80, 250)
3 Fans
1 Radeon x800 PRO
ASUS K8V SE Deluxe.

Right now I'm getting missing texture errors with my video card, extremely low frame rate in Battlefield 2. I run 800x600, most settings at medium, 4xAA, and I barely pull out 30FPS. Sometimes it's so laggy it's not playable.

Here is my current:

I'm hoping the reason why my frame rate sucks is because of the powersupply. If someone can verify this is true or not before I make a purchase, I'd really apperciate it.

I don't have the time anymore in between programming, working, classes, etc to do research. So I really need some assistance as I'm no expert when it comes to PSU. I bought the cheap one because at the time I really didn't have the money to spend.

Thank you :)

I bought that same Aspire one and it blew up in less then 4 hours... it went POP!

I freaked out because I thought it took out my mobo with it I would of been pissed.

Anyhow, I'm not looking for something that is really, really nice looking. I'm looking for something that has a lot of horse power.

Also, is it possible my computer is too under powered?

i vote OCZ, if not then the truepower one is really nice. X800pro is a power eater

Aspire 600W: +3.3V@34A, +5V@36A, +12V1@18A, +12V2@20A, -5V@0.3A, -12V@0.8A, +5VSB@2A
OCZ 520W:__+3.3V@28A, +5V@45A, +12V@26A, ___________, -5V@0.8A, -12V@1A, +5VSB@2.5A
Aspire 680W: +3.3V@38A, +5V@40A, +12V1@22A, +12V2@24A, -5V@0.3A, -12V@0.8A, +5VSB@2A

I'd have to say 600W Aspire is the best out of them.

The ones you mentioned are a little bit high... if you add in shipping and what not. I really didn't even want to spend this much. The 10th is my server bill so I'll be broke :amazed:
