hey every one i just bought a pc of my dad and its got some brand of psu iv never heard of before its called usicase and is 400 watts and i was wandering what nvidia graphics card it could handle

watts is not usually the best indication for what it can handle but amps on the 12v rails is a great thing for us to no then we can really help.

If it has over 20A on the 12v rail it will be the bare minimum for an 8800GT.

What exact model of graphics card is it? You can have an 8300GS which consumes like 0 watts and an 8800ULTRA consuming 315 watts .

And besides, you also have to look at your 12v rail as well and combined amperage.

Maybe give us the case model and we can get some more info on that PSU, but it's probably garbage if you want to run a high-end graphics card.

ther's a +12v rail that is 16 Amps and a -12v rail that is 0.5 Amps and iv allready bought this new graphics card a gainward 8600 gt heres the link to the page GAINWARD PCIE GF 8600GT 256 DDR3 GS GLH Goes Like Hell do you reckon i should get a nother psu

ok iv got a p4 @ 3.2ghz, Asus P5LD2 mobo, 1gb of apacer ram, a 400w usicase psu and soon to have a 256mb 8600gt
