The mobo you have linked is a P55 which is not compatible with the i7 920, you need a X58 mobo.

I have this EVGA mobo in my Office PC and it's been really dependable and it overclocks pretty good to.

oh wow, you're right... dont know how I missed that, thanks man. I REALLY don't need 3 way sli... or OC capability. I had watercooling and got my E8400 from 3ghz to 4ghz stable... Im done overclocking lol, not my thing anymore haha. Any other mobo suggestions then? Definitely want EVGA
*EDIT* hmm nevermind, that looks like the cheapest EVGA motherboard of that kind. Is the RAM I chose still compatible?

Yes, the memory is good. I'm using OCZ with that mobo. I'm really not a fan of the Cooler Master V8, I have a used TRUE I can sell you ($50 shipped) but you'll need to buy a good fan

This video card is about the same performance (perhaps slightly better) but with DX11 support and cheaper:

Newegg.com - XFX HD-577X-ZNFC Radeon HD 5770 1GB 128-bit DDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

This video card is a little more than the GTX 260
Newegg.com - ASUS ENGTX465/2DI/1GD5 GeForce GTX 465 (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

But it might be easily unlocked into a GTX 470

I was thinking about getting a 400 series GTX instead for DX11 to be more future proof... worth it?
