i no that 4 gigs of ram is over kill. however, i wanna make a pc that will last me the next 2 or 3 yrs and still be running smoothly.

Just buy the next set of RAM when you need it then, by the time you do the prices will be cheaper at that time anyway.

What I would do, is buy 2GB of RAM. Test it out. See if you're satisfied with it. If not, then get more. I'm pretty sure, it will run very smoothly with 2GB of RAM, if you're using this computer for general usage and gaming.

If you're satisfied with 2GB of RAM, then that would of saved you money, rather than spending all at once for 4GB of RAM.

i'm getting 64-bit, just in case, 4gb becomes the standard in 2-3 years
