Okai im not gonna have enough to get the 4870 like i hoped my budget is set at around 1000-1100 and that has to include a 22in monitor i will be playing WOW alot and some crysis i wanna be able to play at high settings for the game without problems please help me.

sounds like your system is going to be focused alot on your actual monitor and graphics card. WoW honestly isn't the biggest thing as far as resolution, to play crysis you'll need atleast 2GB of ram. This is a budget build I have

This is a micro box, you can put in whatever graphics card you like, I'll configure another that's a reasonable budget.

I forgot to ask, dual core? quad core? Memory is cheap these days and are you going to use a lot of hard drive space? I suggest the 160 if it's going to be games, but, you can buy a 640 in two partitions for media, gaming and other programs.

At it's cheapest including the monitor, my subtotal is around 924.00 and some actual change. If you choose the cheaper motherboard then you can cut a few bucks off the memory and buy the 750GB drive.

$1000 is budget, I'd say lower high-end?

HD 4870
E8400/e8500
4gb DDR2 RAM
Biostar I45
Corsair 650tx
Case of your choice
decent 24'' Monitor

Well don't just limit him to Intel... AMD is the gamers brand. You can pick up the ASUS M2N-E motherboard for around $80 and a 2.8GHz AMD Athlon 64 X2 for around $150 or less I believe. 2GB of G.Skill ram for around $60. And Western Digital 160GB HD for $40. You can get two of those HD and have 320GB of storage.

Motherboard
Newegg.com - ASUS M2N-E AM2 NVIDIA nForce 570 Ultra MCP ATX AMD Motherboard - AMD Motherboards
$84.99

RAM
Newegg.com - G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory
$39.99

CPU
Newegg.com - AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ Brisbane 2.9GHz 2 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket AM2 65W Dual-Core Processor - Processors - Desktops
$87.99

I found them to be cheaper. The other stuff pick out up top is goo like the PSU and what not. I'd got for the two 160GB WD HD.

You can actually just get a Liton DVD drive from walmart for $40 I think??? I have one and they are solid as a rock and don't cost all that much.

Very great build here, that's the bulk of your system for only 212.97 thus far,
I wanted to add this graphics card:
Newegg.com - EVGA 512-P3-N801-AR GeForce 8800 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

Really great reviews and only 100+ brings you to 300+ roughly, all is left is a case of your choice, a 700w power supply and a monitor.

Do you already have an OS?

Great price on WD hard drives @ 160GB:
Newegg.com - Western Digital Caviar SE WD1600AAJS 160GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - Internal Hard Drives
41.99

with all that left over get a really NICE monitor. I mean nice, and your pretty well off.

I have the HD's and the CPU, MOBO, and RAM. All work great and are really solid. I have had them for a little over a year now. I'm getting a new Video Card... an XFX 8800GS XXX. It was only $85 from newegg. It a good low-hight end card. it ranks up there with the 9600GT but just up there. The 8800GT there is good and you have the money for it.
