You won't need a sound card... Motherboard sound is great, unless you do audio editing and need extreme precision. For the normal user and gamer, onboard sound is good enough, you won't be able to notice the difference unless you have some crazy nice speakers.

OS: Windows 7 unless otherwise

CPU cooler: Zalman CNPS9700LED Ultra Quiet Cpu Cooler

PSU: Corsair TX650W 650-Watt Power Supply 84.99

Will this system work fine and will it be good for upgrades in the future.

And if something isnt needed on that list please do tell - XFX HD-489A-ZDFC Radeon HD 4890 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

Maybe that for $5 less, then cut an extra $80 by buying the Core i7 920 from a Microcenter

The Zalman Cooler is a waste of money. If your not overclocking then the stock heatsink will work ok. But I would still buy a decent heatsink to insure my investment, but it wouldn't be the Zalman. Maybe of of these. - XIGMATEK Dark Knight-S1283V 120mm Long Life Bearing CPU Cooler - CPU Fans & Heatsinks

If you are interested in overclocking then you should look at one of these 3.

Noctua NH-U12P SE1366 CPU Heat Sink (Socket LGA 1366) -

This one needs a fan to go with it.
Prolimatech Megahalems Intel CPU Heatsink (LGA 775 / 1366) (AM2** / AM2+** / AM3**) -

SilverStone FM123 120x120x25mm w/ Fan Controller - (FN123) -

This one needs a lapping kit
Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme-1366 RT Rev. B CPU Heatsink (Socket LGA 1366) -

FrozenCPU Deluxe Heatsink Lapping Kit -

well idk everyone that oc around my area seemed to break there computer idk about it but if it makes the performance a hole lot better then yes i would and you sure that i should buy the XFX HD-489A-ZDFC Radeon HD 4890. Is it better then the one on my list because 5 dollars more isnt alot. And for the graphics card it must have opengl for me because i do some video editing as well and i want to play games and that pny geforce gtx 275 has that.
