Please Help with build

Ok here aret he components I'm sure on

250 GB Seagate Caviar
EVGA Geforce 7900
NEC 3550A optical drive
2 GB G.Skill RAM

Now I dunno what to do with the core of my computer and I realllllyyyy need some help.

Do I get a DFI lanparty NF4 and an Athlon 3800+ X2

or

Pentium D 805 and this motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16813128316

Also, if i get the Athlon I will get the antec sonata II case BUT if I get the Pentium 805 i will buy nice PSU and case in order to overclock.

I think I'm getting G.Skill RAM but i I get the AMD I'll get DDR and the intel obviously DDR2. So I really have a lot hinging on this. Keep in mind I save 100 bucks with the intel setup and that the 805 can OC pretty well: http://www.tomshardware.com/2006/05/10/dual_41_ghz_cores/

Of course I don't have a guarantee it will OC but I really need the help guys. Thanks.

It's not a gurantee you'll get that particular stepping and product code on the 805, so you're taking a chance by going with the 805 and expecting to be able to OC anywhere near tom's hardware got. Are you gonna use the setup mainly for gaming or office apps?

I plan to play some pretty heavy games. HL2, COD2, morrowind, maybe fear, UT, whatever else comes out. So yeah, I'm definetly in the gaming mindset.

I'd say AMD board for gaming, visual stuff, intel for normal everyday jobs and nothing fantastic.

Yeah that's conventional wisdom but with the OC on the 805 won't I put the 3800 to shame?
