I'm not sure I agree with the 4890 suggestion. For the cost difference, it really is only like 10-15% (6-9 FPS) better than the 4870 in most games and isn't worth it. I'd save some money and get the HD 4870 1GB instead.
Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE 100259-1GL Radeon HD 4870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards
Plus one less rebate to mess with.

Also, if you plan on getting a second video card later, I'd go with atleast a 650W PSU or 750W.

I went with an AMD build for you.

Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!
Newegg.com - G.SKILL PI Black 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory
Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE 100259-1GL Radeon HD 4870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards
Newegg.com - Sunbeam CR-CCTF 120 mm Core-Contact Freezer CPU Cooler W/TX-2 - CPU Fans & Heatsinks
Newegg.com - COOLER MASTER COSMOS 1000 RC-1000-KSN1-GP Black/ Silver Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Computer Cases
Newegg.com - CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply - Power Supplies

Total comes to $892.51 with shipping, then you get 50 bucks back in MIRs.

With the 750tx, as surge said, you have the option of adding a second card later down the line.

I think the 4890 is a good choice. In some cases it competes or beats the GTX 285 in certain games. Plus it overclocks very well and runs cooler compared to the old 4870 1Gb.

In my experience I think the 4890 is a better and cheaper choice.

Um, what? Cheaper?

Oh yeah, because 250 bucks is SO much cheaper than 190 bucks.

And in those same games the 4870 is only a few frames behind. The 4890 is merely an overclocked and slightly modified 4870. I don't feel a $60 increase justifies the 6-9FPS.

Yeah, the only way that that little bit of fps would be worth would be if it was in Crysis, and I'm sure the difference isn't that big for that game.

Actually I think Crysis was one of the games where the difference in FPS was ~10FPS, but that's at ridiculous resolutions, so just turn the res down for that one game
