Physical Address Extension?

I just added some RAM to my system bringing it to 1 GB.
When i went into System Properties under General Tab i saw:

Intel[R]
Pentium[R] 4 CPU 3.00 Ghz
2.99 Ghz, 0.99 GB of RAM
Physical Address Extension

Could someone explain the 2.99 Ghz, 0.99 GB RAM and what is Physical Address Extension.

Sorry, but that didn't help me to understand.

All i could figure out from the website is that my processor has a feature which allows for up to 64 gigabytes of physical memory to be used in 32-bit systems, but how does that explains what 0.99 GB of RAM means or maybe it does and am not picking it up, could you explain further please.
