The 9800GT isnt better than the 8800GTX because the 9800GT is just a renamed 8800GT.

8800gt is usually 1 or 3 FPS behind/ahead , or matching it

Yeah in many games the 8800GT beats the 8800GTX or is right behind it, and uses way less power and its faster in CUDA apps, such as F@H. The only advantage the 8800GTX has over the 8800GT/9800GT is the 768MB ram...and TRI-SLI but theres a 9800GT from ASUS which does in fact support TRI-SLI.

Theres also a 128SP version of the 9800GT, which basically makes it an 8800GTS 512.

Gr. Screw Nvidia's naming conventions... Yeah they are pretty close, but as Rican said, better CUDA performance so if they are practically the same performance wise then that puts the 9800GT infront.

the older g80 aritechture kindve sucks compared to the g92. and where is a 128sp version of a 9800gt i looked on newegg but couldnt find one


The only thing ATi can render faster than nVidia is the BSOD
