i highly doubt that is what's keeping it from keeping up with the core2quad and penryns, there are many other reasons
penryns will tower over them
PENRYN Phenom

close there bro.. but why are we versing a Laptop Quad-core vs a Quad-Core Desktop from AMD

i think this is more logical :)

Yorkfield Phenom

but if this Errata bug is patched.. it could be more leveled

besides higher clock speeds n power consumption, the Phenom has done well on AM2 mobos.

ill post a source later, im at school.

oh....well shaolin has the q9450 listed as "penryn" in his sig must've screwed me up

i think it freezes your comp if its overclocked to the max and running at 100%

shoot....that would be worth the risk....
it could cause freezing or crashes if the chip is clocked over 2.4ghz...
which i hope is not the max of the chips. lol im sure its not but it is a serious enough problem to delay the agenas clocked over 2.3ghz, knowhutimean?

especially if someone does folding. doesn't folding max out your cpu? if not then even runnign orthos for OC tests would crash it.

same here, I don't really care if Intel CPU's make unzipping things 2 seconds faster than Phenom, If I was breaking benchmarks I'd definately get Intel, but for my daily uses Phenom will serve me well.

However if Intel pushes their prices far below AMD's I just might bend to Intel.
