Im either going to wait for better phenoms or grab up a an AM2+ board and a X2 5000 black, that price is unbeatable for what you get....

well i've always had a thing for AMD, but when it comes down to price/performance i couldn't argue it. When i built my right back in august of last year the x2 3800 was roughly $150 and my e6400 was like... $220? twas my first intel cpu ever.. however im definitely hoping to get a phenom in February!!

i still find that some budget builds, require and amd x2 instead of the common c2d because they are so cheap atm

Yup, the 9900 should be a q6600 killer, without oc'ing. Maybe an amd rig can take the top score on the 3dmark list.

Maybe that'll be possible with crossfireX
which can be done on the K9A2 Platinum
