Sound cards that are going to be made in the future, or maybe the PPUs (Physics Processing Units) that might be coming out is my guess.

It is ONLY RUMMOR, but PCIe is going to replace PCI slots and that would be where sound cards and networking cards would go is the PCIe 1x slot.

the ABIT Fatal1ty mobo came with that kind of sound card that goes into the small slot.

Hawk, I have also heard that sound cards will be used in the 1x slot, maybe they already make some of them to fit 1x. I know they already make LAN cards to fit the 1x slot, but who needs a seperate LAN card, pretty much any MB has built in LAN.
