Default Is PCI-E x16 2.0 compatible with non 2.0?

I want to buy this card:
Newegg.com - XFX PVT98GYDLU GeForce 9800 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

However, my motherboard's PCI Express x16 slot isn't 2.0.

Will I have any problems?

I have an ASUS P5N-E.

It will work just as well as it would in a pci-e 2.0 slot.
