PC to HDTV hardware?

Hi All,

A friend of mine is interested in hooking up his PC to his new HDTV. He said it's a 1080i model. I don't know anything about HDTV, but I was wondering, is this possible? If so, what hardware would he need to do it?

Currently he's using a PNY 7800GS AGP video card.

Any help would be appreciated, please let me know if you need any more information.

Hopefully this fits in this forum since I am assuming you need to buy special hardware to do this.

That should hook up to his HDTV from the card. it should have came with his card. That's how I'm pretty sure you hook it up, but I don't have an HDTV so I'm not exactly sure.


How big is his HDTV? This card has a maximum of what looks like 30 inches.

Well, If you have component ports from your gpu then it is easy but if you don't get a adapture. i tell you what, i hate being on a tv no mater the picture. I am on one right now and hate it. No desktop.
