http://www.anandtech.com had some pretty good things to say about the first board and they both support sata and the mobo you chose doesn't

Yea seriously the most expensive thing you should be buying is the cpu and I would only spend $100 at most for that. Also 512 mb of RAM is enough for what she is doing.

Total I got is around 660 before shipping, comes with 300 gb hd, 2 dvd burners, 1gb, amd 3000+ so everyone is happy
Case and Powersupply
2x Burners
Video Card
Hard Drive
