You will probably need a new mobo. I couldn't find that one on newegg and I'm assuming you got it awhile ago based on your parts.

Heres a good combo for a cpu + mobo
Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!

Then you could pick up this
Newegg.com - XFX HD-487A-ZDDC Radeon HD 4870 XXX 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

Actually his motherboard supports Deneb/AM3 with bios update, so no need to get a new motherboard.

I'm thinking he meant to post this combo:
Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!

OP, are you playing on a 19" LCD that is in your sig? If so the 4870x2 would be a waste at that resolution. To get full benefits of their power, you need resolution of like 1920 x 1200 or above. Unless you're planning to upgrade your monitor. I'd suggest getting a 4870 1Gb instead.

Yeah, you definitely dont need an X2 unless you get a better monitor. You could grab just a regular 4870 512mb and it would suit you fine.

I mean to post what your correction was for the combo deal below. I am leaning toward the combo then.
Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!

I have been considering upgrading from my 19'' in the sig, yes. What is quality in the world of LCD gaming monitors? 22v24 inch? Low MS would be vital, but also quality. Ballpark price range for a monitor upgrade 300?
