Interestingly enough, a P4 with HT outperforms a Pentium D of the same speed in some gaming benchmarks. If you're a serious gamer, get AMD. If you can't do that, get tha p4 6xx series. The Pentium D is a mediocere gaming processor.
ymmetric Multiprocessing, or SMP, is a multiprocessor computer architecture where two or more identical processors are connected to a single shared main memory. Most common multiprocessor systems today use an SMP architecture.
^^ thats like amds X2, games dont support dual core. whatever amd has in their processors. so actually X2s do worse or equal to gaming like a 4000+ or fx series
