I was checking newegg and i noticed all the p35 boards cna only have one 16x slot the other is either 4x or 1x. Does the chipset not support dual 16?

The P35 chipset does not support dual x16...but I did read about the P35s already supporting PCIe 2.0

I don't know why, but the higher end X38 chipsets support 2xPCIe at x16.

i thought it was x32... but ok..... what are the function of pci-e x1 slots?

It's like an alternative PCIe slot....and theres a variety of cards that use it...such as sound cards, RAID devices, even graphic cards..but low end.., network cards, etc...they're like upgraded PCI slots.

I don't think any Intel P series chipsets support SLI, only crossfire.

True....but future Intel chipsets might support SLI, because Intel just got their SLI license from Nvidia.

hah thats ok with me....SLI isn't that good anyway and the P5 boards are AMAZING boards for the money.
