Don't worry about faster stock clocks. Take the EVGA and overclock it as the 7900GS were made with a better stock cooler than most 7 cards. You can usually get them to around 600/800 if you try. I have mine at 605/835 stable, an EVGA that is.

E6300 w/ Arctic Freezer Pro 7 @ 3.6ghz 1.4Vcore
Antec 900 Case
EVGA 750i FTW Mobo
4x1GB of G.skill DDR2-800
2 8800GT in SLI
22" Samsung Syncmaster
1 250GB WD and 1 Seagate 7200.10 in RAID 0
Corsair 520HX 3DMark06 Score: 13900

I went for the eVGA 7900GS, despite the better deal on the XFX. I’m still sour from XFX’s inept RMA process, and a lot of people report never getting their rebates anyway. I also read that the XFX heatsink doesn’t cover the memory and people were having to buy them ;(

In other awesome news, I just sold my old XFX 6800XT this morning on ebay for $89.99 buy it now!!!!!! How’s that for a ‘step-up’ program? So long to running everything at absolute min settings, yay!
