Default opteron for a noob

I hear opteron isnt officially compatible with s939 but I would like to try my hand at overclocking and i hear these are good for it.

Would I be setting myself up for failure due to incompatibility issues or other isssues with this cpu?

Its not that imcompadible...AMD does test these things before they release them. Just make sure you update/flash the BIOS.

Send a message via AIM to CrimsonGX

They work fine, but if you have problems, chances are your motherboard manufacturer won't give you any support
