Default opteron 170 vs 165

would a 170 oc higher than a 165 because it starts off higher, or would they end up technically the same?

Getting a new computer: specs coming soon...

oh, this can vary from processor to processor... Often times, the one with the lower multiplier can go just as far as the higher-clocked one. It depends on the piece you get. I'd buy the 165 just cause I'm cheap and would be trying to strech the dollar anyway.

Out of all the results that I've seen it seems that they pretty much OC to the same speeds. So I would get the 165 to save money.
