Default operating system and a monitor

i was wandering what the best operating system for gaming would be and i was wandering what the best monitor wuold be

i dont care if its a crt with a high refresh rate or an lcd what ever will get the jon done for the most money.

Doesn't matter what version. Home, Pro, and MCE will all work fine.

What's your budget for the monitor.

if you don't care about refreshing rate, response time, resolution, and all those craps, a used crt monitor is good enough. save you loads of money.

Unlike LCD's, on a good CRT monitor you don't notice the flickering, they have a far better response time than any LCD and they support more resolutions without loss of quality.
