sapphire x1950pro ultimate

i had some overheating issues with the standerd x1950 pro, im guessing the zalaman fan will fix that.

also i noticed that the xfx 7900gt is cheaper than the rest...this was the same with my x1950 pro....will the xfx 7900gt have any problems?

thanks for you help and merry christmas....

I personally would go with the 7900GT, and XFX is a good company.

I have a XFX 7600GT, and it's all good. I'd go with the 7900GT too, but that's partly because I prefer nVidia.

Ooh, the ATi card has a Zalman cooler on it, nice. What do you mean, you had overheating issues with your standard X1950Pro? Do you already own that card? If so, just hook a Zalman onto it and it's the exact same thing, if not, what the **** did you do with it? :P

Oh, and I would still go with the 7900GT. And then get a Zalman cooler.

Ummhh ya, I dont understand the point in trading the card you have for another that is the exact same thing only with a different cooler?

I say spend the 30 some odd dollars for a zalman and put on your current card.

i sent the card back...so the general vote is with nVidia, but doesn't the x1950 have a slight performace advantage over 7900gt

Just a base line of course...

but Nosboost is the one to ask... he's had both cards! LOL

I personally would go with what's cheaper... your not going to visually see the difference anyway, unless your benching and trying to max the FPS...
