You might need to. As you done have the chipset drivers, thew mobo might not know how to deal with it.
Do you plan on a nvidia card eventually? As tyou could get a cheaper 8 series or 210/220 nvidia card and use it as a physix card after..... therefore the cards not a waste.

You'll have to use the IDE drive the usb drivers are needed to use the usb ports.
