Old Intel 3.6 vs. AMD Athlon 64 4000+

Yes those AMDs will beat your Intel but it seems everyone here is missing the point. Is it worth buying a new CPU when the one YOU ALREADY HAVE is more than capable?? Heck no, spend the money on upgrading other parts. Some of you AMD guys are plain crazy.

Any Intel P4 3.2Ghz - 3.8Ghz will be more then capable of providing great performance in almost all new games.

Just not as great as AMD.

The CPU Intel 3.6, that I got will be returned with my comp to store I got it from. I going to return my comp. So I get all the money I spend on this old comp I use now.

I just one nice costumer that using their return policy

Now the question is X2 or single core? I not just using gaming. But still what is better for gamming right now?

Right now single core is better for gaming but dual core is the future! Soon there will be a fair ammount of games that utilize both cores and hopefully the dual cores will make a big difference.
