One the board partner of NVIDIA had us the other day urgently turns out this year also the Computex in June 2008 to visit. One did not want to call reasons for it us - he was obligated to the discretion. Nothing the despite the planned events would be probably of importance. Yesterday we received details and also unbelievable from a Insider then. NVIDIAs GT200 chip is and is in three months the light of the world to see.

Us this source wanted to call also not really deep details, betrayed us however that it was to concern a completely new generation, which besides double FPU achievement is to possess as 9800 GTX not shown yet.

It is difficult to reconstruct why NVIDIA such a way follows. The G80-Technik is not yet in principle very old, the Refresh with the G92 now straight in form of the GeForce 9-Familie completely is only converted. Another partner explained us head-vibrating that NVIDIA " momentarily obviously as much; in the Schublade" it lies has that new conceptions and presentations could be made, when they wanted. One is not safe of last one the latter, which a R700 is to really carry out in the conditions - one is evenly preparatory for surprises.

very Impressive indeed

so does that mean no more Geforce? or is it just hte codename?

yes I heard about this card...apparently a preliminary 3dmark run on an alpha stage card @ 2560x1600 got 16.6k

Not bad at all. I heard that they are also having heat problems though because its still 65nm and there are about 1 billion transistors on the chip.

A beast either way.....R700 and the GT200 are going to be some crazy freakin cards.

finally.. single card crysis... very high

they probably had these bad boys in SLi when showing the prototype gameplay of crysis

Lol, they had these cards all the way back then, infact, they where designed in a top secret project just for that.... Project 'Crysis 60fps>'. They failed, but w/e... lol.

.the 8 series was wonderful but the 9 series is not so much....

What you said is true if you compare high-end 8 series with high-end 9 series

The mid-end 9 series are very fast. The 9600GT completely destroys 8600GT and 8600GTS

Thats because the 8600 was absolute crap. Also, did they run the original article through babbelfish? The translation is completely horrible.
