nVIdia GeForce 7900gto

hi there everyone.
got some good advice about video cards, but i am wondering...
the system i am looking at has one pci-e x16 and one pci-e x1.
will i be able to use the 7900 gto 512mb card? doesn't it need two x16 slots?
next step down would be 7900gt 256mb, which i know will work in that system.
help please!

The 7900GTO only needs one x16 slots. If the GT can work the GTO can work as well.

hey great.
also, the power supply we were talking about earlier. that sounds like no big deal.
three questions:
1) where would i look for something like that in the 500-600 watt range
2)what info do i need about the system to make sure it is compatible?
3) what about the external psu option...any good?
