I guess....the 8800 is the flagship model of the 8 series already.

If your going to wait to get a powerhouse gfx card, then my suggestion is don't expect to get a 9 series card nov/dec ( assuming it does come out this time ) unless you want the worst possible deal. Anytime a new gfx card comes out its priced pretty premium. ( I guess an exception would be the ATI R600, which wasn't priced THAT much higher then a 8800 GTS )

think of it as the 6800 series they didnt have the 6900 either
so next we will get the 9800s and the 9900s hopefuly
