Default nVidia Control panel and RivaTuner

The nVidia Control panel I have (driver 162.18) has this option where you can automatically adjust fan speed or manually set the fan to run at a certain rpm.

However, I run Rivatuner since I like the ability to change the fan speed depending on the core temperature.

Would the nVidia control panel override the settings in RivaTuner or would RivaTuner override the nVidia control panel settings.

My video card is running at 80C+ on intense games and I don't think the RivaTuner settings are kicking in.

My computer is now officially out of date :<
