Default Nvidia on ATi and ATi on Nvidia

can you use an ati on a nvidia chipset and vice versa?

Proud owner of the only hampster powered rig on these boards.

you can use ATI cards on motherboards with Nvidia chipsets fine, but if you use Nvidia cards on motherboards with ATI chipsets, it doesn't work well.

I'd recommend you get a board with an Nvidia chip. unless you really want to use 2 ATI cards in crosfire.

lol - yeah I was reading an article in ? "i think it was CPU magazine" about 4 months ago. The article was about NVIDIA chipsets vs. ATI chipsets.

The fun thing was the ATI X850XT PE that they tested had better better benchmarks and scoring on the NVIDIA chipset. "NF4".

That's pretty funny when your video card performs better on the competitions chipset.
