Nvidia 8600GT(pci-e) vs ATI x850 (pci-e)

wondering if its worth it to switch my ATI X850 PCI-e with a Nvidia 8600GT PCI-e. I have both the cards and wont have to spend anything just wondering performance wise witch is better. The X850 is painfully loud.

the 8600gt is sligltly beter it equals a 7900gt or an x1950*** card, so the 8600gt will be much better then the x850.

At high resolutions, it performs closer on par with a 7900gs.

he said he allready owned the 8600gt, hes not asking which is a better buy hes saying which of the two cards he owns should he run in his rig. even if the 8800gt compares to a 7900gs the 7900gs still kills a x850, man u guys dont think when u read some times, some of u really need to work on literacy skills. its ****ing me off how so may people are answering questions lately with out even reading the persons question properly. i now understand why u have to pass the literacy test to graduate high school.
