Yeah airborne supports lots of physx, i suspected that was the reason why i got such low fps.

No, why should it? If anything, it will run slower, with the GPU having extra stress on it. No physx hardware = no physx. The CPU doesn't calculate physx.

Crysis does not utilise physx.

If you read the article, you would see that the technology is still being produced.

But theyre going to emulate physx using the gpu, which was the whole point. It should make it run better, since it would be the same as having a ppu installed in the system. from what ive been reading, the physx hardware is very similar to nvidias cards....guess well have to wait and see.

I dont get what your saying.

If you dont currently have physx hardware, then physx isnt allowed, so there is nothing to slow down your PC. It isnt processed on the CPU, so how could not having physx hardware slow you down?
