I just recently found out about nTune, and I've run the program a few times, but my computer will lock up while it's processing. (I do have the supported hardware) I was reading on nvidia.com and saw in the quick notes it said "best run at 1024x768 in 16-bit color" does this mean that I should set my res and color to those while I'm running nTune? Right now I have 1400x900 and 32-bit color selected.

I was having problems with ntune when I first installed it. i tried overclocking the memory and core by about 15 MHz increments but it always locked up during the stability test. But I just downloaded Rivatuner and I used that instead of ntune - works like a charm, no problems.

ATI Tool is also a very good overclocking program.
It also has an artifact scanner, so you can test your oc, and check if its stable.

i hated nTune.

i tried to OC, but nTune kept reversing all my settings from BIOS. which resulted in my computer crashing every 30mins or so.

ntune suckss ballsss.
I hate the same problem as mgcook did.
The settings kept resetting...ati tool never gave me a problem
